Established in 1991, The Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society ( WAGS) is a social golf society which arranges regular golf events for members and guests throughout the year.
WAGS members range from low handicap golfers to beginners and are largely made up of long-term Hong Kong residents. Yearly we hold some 15 events, both in Hong Kong and around Asia. The focus of every event, which distinguishes WAGS from most other golf societies, is to raise money for charity. This happens through structured fundraising as well as (multiple) fines for inappropriate behavior or other misdemeanors.
A feature of our calendar is the annual WAGS Charity Golf Day, which is now in its 12th year. It has grown in recent years to become the biggest amateur golf day in Hong Kong with 144 players taking part.
